The poetic dreamscape of Jérémie Gasparutto

Revealed during our group exhibition dedicated to the 13th anniversary of Label 619 (2021), Jérémie Gasparutto returns today with a solo exhibition: a selection of original plates from his new one shot Le Chemin Derrière la Maison, published by Label 619 in January 2026.

With this deeply personal work, the artist offers an unconventional comic strip, straddling the line between narrative and visual poetry. His style, both delicate and powerful, accompanies an inner journey where reality cracks: behind a path appear a forest, a beach, mineral and organic depths… A teeming world in which dreams and hallucinations merge, and where the imagination gently takes over.

Rendered in stark black and white, his panels are distinguished by a remarkable mastery of atmosphere and rhythm. Contrasts sculpt space, establishing silence, then unease. The precise and instinctive line gives rise to vibrant textures: each page becomes a place of contemplation, inviting the reader to be immersed in the author's thoughts and emotions.
