Launched in 2020 by Dargaud, Raven plunges readers into a world of 17th-century piracy at the heart of the Caribbean. Facing the young and impetuous Raven stands Lady Darksee, a formidable pirate captain ready to do anything to get her hands on the legendary treasure of Chichén Itzá. Proud, dangerous, and mysterious, she quickly emerges as one of the series' major characters.

The sole creator of Raven, Mathieu Lauffray handles the writing, artwork, and coloring himself. His powerful, cinematic line, combined with remarkable work on expressions and atmosphere, gives Lady Darksee a particularly striking presence. This original illustration showcases the full strength and character of this iconic heroine.
