We are pleased to present, for the first time in Europe, the remarkable work of Australian artist Violet Bond, who arrives in France in the flesh during NFT Paris 2024.
Violet Bond is an environmental artist living in the remote north of Australia. A sculptor, ceramist, and photographer, she draws inspiration from the cycles of the natural world and the wild Australian landscapes.
Violet lives with a deep connection to nature, inspired by its seasons, its capacity for rebirth, and its natural relationship with death.

An environmental sculpture made as part of creating the video work "Descendants". A story of the marks we leave behind.
We are the descendants of the witches they could not burn. A piece of work that reflects on the witches in my English history. I want to believe that when women were burned at the stake, all of their remnants, all of
their being, all of their essence, all of their magic turned into this black ash that was left on the ground behind them. That they fertilised the earth for the next generation of women.
Made on Dalabon country in the Northern Territory, Australia.
