Thorgal Saga - Farewell Aaricia - Skraeling and Young Thorgal

Skraeling, standing beside the young Thorgal, stands beneath the proud gaze of the Skraelingars: a panoramic composition of rare density, in which Robin Recht deploys the full range of his skill as a heroic fantasy artist in service of Thorgal's Nordic world.

In 2023, Robin Recht launched the Thorgal Saga collection at Éditions Le Lombard with the album Adieu Aaricia (Farewell Aaricia), drawing on his childhood reading memories to offer a nostalgic and adventurous reinterpretation of the myth created by Van Hamme and Rosiński. This illustration, taken from a book collecting previously unpublished original artwork alongside an interview with the author, was also published as the opening triptych of the album's large-format Prestige edition (November 2023).
