"While on assignment covering a women's surf competition in Biarritz, I spent an entire week of days on Côte des Basques beach. It was love at first sight — so intense that I ended up settling there for stretches whenever my assignments allowed.
I rediscovered there the original joy of photography. The place, the light, especially during the blue hour — that brief but stunning moment when day is no longer day but night hasn't yet begun. Whenever I have a spare moment, I go back to that beach to gather images, to bear witness to the beauty in front of me and share it. This project, "by Coco," is my breathing space." Corinne Dubreuil
