Les Désarmés, a thriller in Cinemascope

Les Désarmés (Michel Pirus & Mezzo) is a widescreen thriller, somewhere between a road movie and a family feud, that unfolds across American highways and deserts in a dark and tense atmosphere.

Here, everything hinges on Mezzo's graphic work: expressive and meticulously crafted drawings, deep blacks, sharp contrasts, an ultra-cinematic mise-en-scène, and a line texture that imbues the narrative with a violence that is as much visual as it is psychological, a rare fusion of expressive drawing and narrative rigor.

To coincide with our exhibition, we are presenting and offering for sale the original page 17 from volume 2, an ideal page for fans of noir, powerful framing, and tightly woven storytelling, with an exceptional focus on the main characters.
