In Celestial Mechanics, Merwan deploys the full power of his SF universe and his "big screen" staging, between the energy of the line, immediately embodied characters and permanent narrative tension.
The original plate on page 195 is particularly spectacular: it extends and magnifies, in a zoom-out, the V for Victory of Aster and Wallis (page 194), the two central figures of this great success, with a composition that is striking for its readability, its sense of movement and the precision of its details.
Visible a few pages after the famous BANG - an iconic scene which we had the pleasure of publishing in lithography - this page is a choice piece for fans of ambitious graphic storytelling and splash pages of contemporary comics, where nature has the last word.
