Label 619 !

Label 619 is a French creative studio, originally founded and led by RUN from 2008 to 2019. It was then co-directed by RUN, Mathieu Bablet, Florent Maudoux, and Guillaume Singelin.

Initially a literary collection published under Ankama Editions, it evolved into an independent creative studio starting in 2019.

The Carbon & Silicon Shock !

Artificial intelligence, transhumanism, ecological, economic, and migratory crises… In his latest graphic novel, Mathieu Bablet, one of the leading figures of the Franco-Belgian comic scene, delivers a brilliant speculative narrative. Published by Label 619 (Ankama Editions), Carbon & Silicon follows in the tradition of his earlier successes The Beautiful Deathand Shangri-La, some original pages of which were previously showcased on Achetez de l'Art.

An Exceptional Page by Mathieu Bablet

A fan of horror films and B-movies, Mathieu Bablet graduated from ENAAI (Chambéry) and soon submitted the draft of his first comic book to Ankama Editions. His post-apocalyptic one-shot, The Beautiful Death, caught RUN’s eye in 2011, who immediately offered to publish it under Label 619.
This was followed in 2013 by the mythological epic Adrastéa, released in two volumes and later as a collected edition in 2016. That same year came the science fiction phenomenon Shangri-La, which was selected for the Angoulême Festivalin 2017.

In 2018, with a passion for collaborative projects, Bablet launched the fantastic series Midnight Tales as lead creator — a concept and format similar to DoggyBags. Two volumes were planned per year: one in spring, the other in autumn.

In August 2020, he released the ambitious Carbon & Silicon, a new graphic novel that once again amazed both critics and readers.
