The Sensation of the Wild
We are pleased to present, for the first time in Europe, the remarkable work of Australian artist Violet Bond, who arrives in France in the flesh during NFT Paris 2024.
Violet Bond is an environmental artist living in the remote north of Australia. A sculptor, ceramist, and photographer, she draws inspiration from the cycles of the natural world and the wild Australian landscapes.
Violet lives with a deep connection to nature, inspired by its seasons, its capacity for rebirth, and its natural relationship with death.

Violet Bond about this artwork
This work was created on freshly burnt land in the midst of the dry fire season in Northern Australia.
There has always been a profound connection between women and fire, whether for ritual, sustenance, or the hearth of a home. Women often gathered around it in the wild places.
I frequently incorporate circles in my work to symbolise the perpetual cycles of life and death in the natural world, emphasising that all things have their seasons.
This piece was crafted using multiple overlaid photographs shot with a drone.
