Trazo de tiza, Miguelanxo Prado's Landmark Work

Trait de craie (Casterman, 1993) is the work that brought Miguelanxo Prado to prominence in France, earning the Alph-Art for Best Foreign Album at the 1994 Angoulême Festival — a landmark piece of the Casterman generation, with a magnificent line. The Spanish artist also built a fine career in the absurd and dark humor, notably with the collection Quotidien délirant. This cover was acquired at a gallery, during an exhibition held alongside an auction.

For this exhibition, we are pleased to present the original Spanish cover of Trazo de tiza by Miguelanxo Prado. A particularly iconic piece, as it is the image that accompanied the first Spanish album edition of this work, now a classic of European comics. Above all, it offers a rare opportunity to collect a major composition by Prado, at the heart of his work on one of his most personal and most acclaimed stories.
