La Fontaine aux fables, a La Fontaine Classic Revisited by Cyril Pedrosa

Published in 2002 by Delcourt, La Fontaine aux fables offers a comic-book adaptation of twelve texts by Jean de La Fontaine, entrusted to several major names in contemporary comics. Among them, Cyril Pedrosa, then fresh out of his years at Disney (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules), created the adaptation of Le Loup devenu berger, one of the fables collected in this first volume. Faithful to the original text, the album allows each artist to reinterpret La Fontaine's world through their own graphic sensibility.

For this exhibition, we are pleased to present this original page by Cyril Pedrosa from La Fontaine aux fables. An interesting piece in the artist's career, created early on and reflecting his personal interpretation of a major work of French literary heritage.
