La Licorne, the Fantasy World of Anthony Jean

Drawn by Anthony Jean from a script by Mathieu Gabella, La Licorne (Delcourt) met with great success from its very first volume, carried by a dark visual style and a mysterious atmosphere. This illustration, originally intended for a poster that was ultimately never published, accounts for its distinctive format and particularly high degree of finish.

For this exhibition, we are pleased to present this original illustration by Anthony Jean, drawn from the world of La Licorne. A piece particularly representative of the artist's work on the series, offering a direct sense of the finesse of his line, his handling of color, and the singular world where the Renaissance meets the fantastical.
