Banana Fight, the Early Career of Mathieu Reynès in Comics

Mathieu Reynès's first album, created with writer Frédéric Brémaud and published by Paquet in 2002, Banana Fight is a fantasy western as wild as it is hybrid, carried by lively artwork. The artist would go on to reach wider success with Alter Ego and then Harmony, published by Dupuis.

For this exhibition, we are pleased to present this original page by Mathieu Reynès from Banana Fight – Le Choc des Titans. A particularly compelling piece for collectors, as it comes from the artist's very first album and reflects his early career in comics, before the series Sexy Gun, Lola Bogota, Alter Ego, and Harmony. Original pages from Banana Fight are also now referenced in original comic art collections, including direct-color pages.
